Dr. Hongmei Wu
Dr. Hongmei Wu is a licensed acupuncturist in Tennessee (Lac No. 132); she has been practicing acupuncture in TN since 2008.
Dr. Wu graduated and obtained her MD from Taishan Medical College, China. She practiced as a physician in the Department of Medicine and Department of Dermatology for eight years in the Medical Center of Weifang Medical College. To compensate the shortage of traditional western medicine, she went to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Shanghai University of TCM for three years and obtained a Master degree of Science in Integrated Modern Medicine and TCM, and then she practiced TCM combined with western medicine for over five years in China before she came to the United States.
During more than 15 years practice of clinical medicine, she integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine including acupuncture into conventional therapy for many disorders. She is specialized in traditional Chinese herbs, acupuncture and Tuina (Chinese medical massage) to treat women’s health, irregular menstruation, menopause syndrome and hormonal imbalances, acute and chronic pain, numbness, depression, stroke rehabilitation, chronic fatigue. Furthermore, she is a rare expert in cosmetic acupuncture.
